ShiftSub is designed for SubWorkers to be W-2, part-time employees of each employer they work for.

If an employer prefers to establish a working relationship with a SubWorker through ShiftSub as a 1099 Independent Contractor, ShiftSub requires two things to happen. First, it is clearly noted in the ShiftRole. Second, it is mutually agreed upon on/before the meet&greet.

The IRS has strict guidelines regarding 1099 Independent Contractors. It is each employer’s responsibility to follow applicable local, state and federal laws regarding 1099 Independent Contractors. ShiftSub is not to be held responsible in any way if an employer does not follow the local, state and federal laws that are applicable to their business.
